The French expression ne pas casser trois pattes à un canard (literally “to not break three legs on a duck”) means that something is very ordinary, unimpressive, or even disappointing. Nothing special! 😒🦆

💬 Example:

You finally try the new restaurant everyone has been talking about in your city. Reviews were amazing, you expected something unforgettable 🍽️…

But walking out, you tell your friend:

👉 Honestly, that restaurant was nothing to write home about.
